LANCE KERR
Contemporary Painter
Kerr received a Diploma in “Visual Communication Design” from Ara institute.
2021, his work was featured in “Curatorial 3” published by Melbourne's Capsule books.
In the same year, He was “Art Edit” Magazine artist of the week.
2019 He made his first trip to Japan, had a profound and lasting impact on his creative process. The influence of Japanese culture has been with him since childhood, where He represented New Zealand with the junior judo team in 1989.
2022 He was selected for a group show of international artists called “Little Treasures” in Bologna Italy.
2023 He took part in a international art fair in Venice Italy called “Visions”.
2024 He received an honorable mention in “Circle Arts Foundations” international artist of the year award (Spain).

In 2009 was selected in "Preview 09" a group show of emerging South Island artists, curated by Dr Warren Feeney. The exhibition was shown at COCA Contemporary Art Gallery in Christchurch, New Zealand.
He is a qualified Qigong teacher, and is interested in how the ancient somatic practice enhances his creativity.
